i genuinely don’t get why this was removed

am i the only one who just doesn’t get it ?? 😭 i never paid to restore my streak but i know a lot of people did and they were glad they had the option. i really don’t understand why this would be removed ? could it have been causing a bug with the login rewards ? i’m very very confused. if i’m missing something / there’s a reason for it pls let me know !!

any advice on DIYing these specific tights ?

apologies if this is the wrong flair — i don’t think i’ll be doing any hand sewing with this but i think it’s the most accurate flair on the list !

i absolutely adore this style of tights — i don’t want to buy them because i can only find them on fast fashion sites, which i don’t want to support. i was wondering how to best go about DIYing them without breaking them entirely if that makes sense ? i make my own ripped tights all the time but i’ve never done any with this many holes / very thin strings leftover. i don’t want to accidentally cut a whole leg off 🥲

would it be best to use an opaque pair of tights, or leggings ? also wondering if there‘s anything i can do to enforce the material after cutting, to prevent further tears.

any advice is greatly appreciated !!

My iPhone was stolen - is there anything else I should do that I haven’t already done?

I hope this is okay to post, I read the FAQ but I have a couple of extra questions.

My iPhone 12 Pro was stolen in a major city last night. It was either taken from my pocket or I dropped it without realising and it was stolen from there. The “find my” location has been moving around the city for the last 20 hours or so.

Here is a list of everything I have done so far:

-I set up lost mode about half an hour after I realised I no longer had my phone. I believe it has gone through since I received an email that my apple pay was suspended on that device.

-I suspended my SIM card and had my IMEI number flagged as stolen via my mobile provider.

-I reported the theft to the police and gave them all the relevant information, such as description, last known location through find my phone, IMEI number, serial number, etc etc.

-I submitted a remote erase data request as I doubt the phone will ever be returned to me, but I don’t think it has gone through yet as I still have a “cancel erase” option on find my phone.

-I removed the device from major accounts, such as email, social media, revolut, etc.

-My phone was locked with face ID and a six-digit passcode. I randomly generate all my number passwords so I doubt that it is able to be guessed.

Everything I read online told me not to remove the account from my Apple ID, so I have not done that and I don’t plan to for the time being. I also have not yet changed my Apple ID password, as I’m unsure if that will remove the device from my account and I found conflicting answers regarding that when I looked it up. I absolutely will change the password if I notice any suspicious activity, though. I also did not have stolen device protection enabled.

The one thing I haven’t managed to do is access my main bank account. My banking app requires a phone number to log in, and I cannot access my phone number without a SIM card to receive texts. I plan to get a new SIM tomorrow, and I haven’t received any emails or other notification from my bank regarding suspicious activity. I’m going to see if I can contact my bank before getting a new SIM card, but I’m unsure if their offices are open on Sundays.

I unfortunately will lose a lot of photos and videos, I regrettably did not pay for iCloud+. I bought it today, but as far as I know it won’t change the fact I will lose a lot from that phone.

I’m currently using a combination of my old iPhone XR, iPhone SE 2020, and my iPad A16 to monitor my accounts and see what I can salvage. I have all my photos and videos from before 17th September 2024 on these devices, but nothing after that.

I’m wondering if there is anything else I can do in regards to security, or if there’s anything I can do to retrieve my lost content. I doubt it’s possible to recover what’s lost, but it would be great if anyone has any ideas.

Also, is there any way that thieves could access my data even with all the security precautions I took ? I know it would be nearly impossible to access it physically through the phone, but is there remote ways to steal data with iPhones ? I know it most likely will be stripped for parts if they can’t reset or resell it, but I just want to be sure.

I don’t know how much use the phone will be to anyone even if they’re just stripping it for parts, the back glass was shattered, the battery was abysmal, and it was pretty slow, but I’m sure there’s other parts of the phone I don’t know much about that are still useful.

I don’t know if this is relevant, but I live in Ireland if location is a factor in any security precautions I should take.

Any advice is welcome and very appreciated !

TL;DR. My phone was stolen and I have taken all the recommended security precautions that I am aware of. Is there anything I should do that isn’t widely known about ? And is there any way to retrieve lost data without iCloud.
