Today I noticed my time didn’t look right on the time clock. It said i had a little over 7 hours when I know that I worked at least 8. I specifically remember punching out. I always put away my equipment and check my watch to write down the exact time I’m leaving (also helps if I miss a punch), then I go to the time clock and punch out.
I went in to look at my punches and someone changed it from x:53 to x:00, shorting me 53 minutes (I’m using minutes, not the decimal equivalent). This was obvious because I can count on one hand the times I’ve done a punch at exactly 00. That would stick out to me.
I made the mistake of asking the hrtm if they could tell who changed it, and as soon as I did it, I realized that speaking up gave target the opportunity to cover it up. The hrtm also specifically said that they hadn’t made any punch corrections from the day before, which confirms that I punched out.
From now on, I will be taking a picture of every punch of the time clock. I’m also aware that this is highly illegal. Even if I ran over my scheduled time, they could ask me to cut hours on another day that week, but they can’t just change a punch.
Any advice? I don’t trust my ETL at all and suspect that’s who did it. I think the sd would cover up for an ETL caught doing this. Can corporate look at punches and see who made changes? I’ve already submitted a punch corrections from for the correct times, so if they can only see the last change, it would be that.
Every year, my city hosts the world’s largest shareholders meeting. For the last 4 years, I’ve worked security for the event. It’s very long hours, but working the first weekend in May nets me more than I make in a week at my regular job (somebody’s got to pay for all those treats and toys). The problem is that I feel guilty leaving my girls mostly alone all weekend.
So this year, I thought I would try something new…sending my kitties on vacation! I thought I could drop stickers of each of my babies and our frens here could host them as they travel and send me pictures of all their adventures this weekend.
Now, I just need to figure out how to post stickers here! Anyone know how to do that? Or do I need to just post some pictures and everyone needs to make their own stickers?
Has anybody tried this? A couple friends of mine called it and you can apparently talk to the cat or hear a message about what it did today.
