Time constraints - workouts (articles and other resources)

Time constraints - workouts (articles and other resources)

I'm trying to find articles on a time-constrained program by the SBS or MF team. This is the one I've found so far but the template program has an SBD focus. I'm trying to find one without such a focus and then adapt it for my needs.

Context: For the foreseeable future (a year or so), my time is limited to 3x a week for 30 mins each time in my home gym. I have a bench, smith machine, barbells and dumbbells. Supersets and maybe myorep heavy, and I don't want to neglect arm isolation exercises.

When it is triggered by anxiety/stress....

...ad you sort of come to believe it, how long did it take you for the symptoms to subside? I know that many will say "they haven't!", but I'm sure others have noticed things may get much better, so I'd like to get an idea of a timeline which I guess is different for everybody.

My doctor told me it's stress related last week, so now it's been nearly 7 days since this reassurance. It's better now than the previous month, but sometimes I wake up with a twitch somewhere (or, like I currently am feeling, a strange recurring throbbing feeling in my pelvic region like you get when you're about to pee) and I feel back to square one.

I'm guessing even with reassurance it's going to take weeks to months to go back to a time period when you just don't think about it anymore...

Pop twitches before sleeping

I had 2 episodes of muscle twitching (once on on bicep, the other time on my left thigh) earlier this month, in a period of very poor sleep, and they each went away after drinking lots of water/gradually over a few hours. I unfortunately went down a rabbit hole of online reading after once waking up with pins and needles on my toe and another time in one of my feet - went away after stomping for a few seconds - and I am really anxious.

Since then (it's been 3 weeks now), I haven't really had that repeated twitching feeling which occured on 2 distinct occasions, but what I am experiencing is feeling of light feet/ ants crawling on my legs in bed OR sort of "pop corn" twitches when I'm either falling asleep or I wake up in the middle of the night and am trying to sleep again. I'm not sure if they're even twitches, but it feels like random "pops" across the body, perhaps separated by 1-2 minutes between each small pop. Each time it happens my heart starts racing and I am not able to sleep. Once I wake up and start my day they seem to magically go away - with some random "pops" during the day which if I wasn't attentive like I currently am I probably wouldn't have even noticed! So far I have no weakness/ blurred vision / loss of dexterity. Sleep is taking a hit though.

I went to the doctor and he said this seems to be stress related, and I was prescribed 100mg magnesium + 10mg vitamin B12 daily for a month. He said if this doesn't go away after a month I go back and he may refer me to a specialist for an MRI, but my symptoms did not concern him that it could be anything sinister.

We had twin babies this year so life (and work) stressors were high, but tbh they're now 1 years old and I was in a much worse shape 6 months ago than I am now mentally/physically...yet I get these symptoms now.

I guess this is a venting post, but also asking what ways have you found to mitigate these feelings and perhaps reduce stress?
