By the Gig Plans: Are Auto Top Ups 1GB ($2) or 2GB ($4)?

I have been on a By the Gig plan (Warp) for many years now, and my Auto Top Ups are always 1GB ($2), which is what I prefer. But I have seen some mention here on Reddit, which I have not been able to find confirmation of on the USM website, of Auto Top Ups for By the Gig plans now being 2GB ($4) minimum. Is that correct (that current By the Gig plans must Top Up at 2GB or more, and that 1GB Top Ups are no longer possible for new users, or if I switched plans and then switched back to By the Gig)?

I'm just trying to determine if my plan is somehow grandfathered, as I don't want to lose the 1GB Auto Top Up (I'm a light data user, so 2GB Auto Top Ups would be wasteful for me on some months). I currently pay $10/month for my By the Gig plan.

What Happens After Using Up Hotspot Data (Unlimited Flex or Unlimited Starter Plans), and Is It Possible to Auto-TopUp Hotspot Data for These Plans?

I am considering the Unlimited Flex and Unlimited Starter Plans, and of particular interest is the Hotspot Data. Technically this is regarding a friend who is considering switching to US Mobile (I am already a longtime customer 😁). They need to be able to stream videos (eg, training videos, etc) on their laptop when they're on-site at various locations (and they don't have control over whether they'll have good Wifi access or not).

So they need to know what happens on either of these plans if they use up their Hotspot Data (does it stop working, are they throttled and if so, how much), and what are the differences (if any) of what happens on Dark Star (which we're considering for the 20GB option) vs Warp vs Light Speed (which is what they are currently on via a grandfathered contract with the carrier)?

Ideally, they would like to be able to configure an Auto-TopUp of their Hotspot Data (ie, set it and forget it), such that they just get a notification/text of the TopUp, but it otherwise just happens. And if that is possible, what is the cost per GB?

Thanks in advance for any assistance! 😊
