Ordered a kastking zephyr to try out bfs. I've got some 25lb braid but is that too much? I see a lot people seem to use 10lb braid but is that because bigger is going to cause issues or just because bigger is overkill. I've got 6lb mono I use for my other UL I can use but I'd rather use the braid I have since it's hi-vis
I got a pelican catch mode 110 with the transom mount because I wanted to get a motor for when I'm in lakes or going up rivers, but can't decide between getting a small outboard or trolling motor.

From what I can tell a trolling motor and battery is going to cost twice as much for something that would be slower (I think?) than a 2-4hp outboard. But most seem to go with a trolling motor when getting a motor, I assume because they want to actually use it to troll or have other things that need the battery. am I better off with a gas motor since I just want it to get around quicker/easier in big water and currents?
