About to ford the river!

Went for a hike this morning; Carl attempted to jump all the way over this stream crossing (it was about 15ft wide… safe to say he didn’t quite make it).

Guard Dogs

When the wolves (UPS guy) are at the door, our duty is to guard mom from all harm through stalwart vigilance, a strong perimeter, and yapping.

Lupine!

Last summer on a whim I threw some lupine seeds in a spot that historically things have struggled to grow. I got one pathetic flower stalk last year and didn’t think much about it. This year though they are growing like crazy! Morons for scale.

Old Man

Gramps here has developed a little heart on his nose from all the kisses. He’s 15+ years old (rescue, but based on how long we’ve had him that’s the absolute youngest he could be). He’s half deaf, kinda blind, missing more than a couple teeth, has been diabetic for 6 years, has congestive heart failure, and is maybe starting to develop some kidney problems… but none of that seems to particularly bother him (with good care and medications, of course). He still runs and bounces for his food and shows the puppies a thing or two.

Formula for an Average that Reduces each Month

Hello you wonderful excelthusiests! I’m wondering if something is possible that goes beyond my own personal mediocre excel skills:

I have a goal # of widgets I need to meet for the year. I currently track how many widgets I make each month, what my YTD total is, and how many widgets I have left that I need to make before the year is out. What I would love to have is some kind of formula for: how many widgets per month I need to make in order to reach my goal by the end of the year. This number obviously changes as my actual widget production varies from month to month, and the number of months left reduces by one at the end of each month. I would like a box that automatically adjusts my needed widgets/month as I fill in the months through the year.

Edit to add: it’s excel Microsoft 365 Apps for Business. Version 2604. It’s my work computer and I don’t really know anything more than what the “product information” page says.
