Ferrante has spent her whole career as a novelist staying anonymous, refusing public appearances, keeping her identity separate from the books. So the scene in “Those who leave and those who stay”where Elena publishes a sexually frank novel under her own real name reads almost like a thought experiment inside Ferrante's own project, the one place where she lets the distance between author and book completely collapse, just to see what happens to the character left standing in it.

I keep wondering if the book inside the book is meant to be read that way, as Ferrante testing out her own worst-case scenario through Elena. Has anyone else felt that while reading or watching it, or am I reaching?

Hello, I (F) am looking to play Padel (beginner, non competitive) in Meknes. Is there a community here already? I downloaded this app called padelgo but can’t see any games to join and needs 4 people to get a court.

EDIT: found a Padel club within the Tennis Club Meknes, there is also a WhatsApp group, if someone wants to join I can add them to it, just Dm your phone number.
