Hi, recently I have dismantled my rotten shed at the bottom end of the garden, repaired the woodwork and re-built it at the top end of my garden. We had a wire running underground from the house into the garden, into an outdoor socket, and then upto the old shed.

I’d like to supply power to the rebuilt shed. What’s the best way to do this?

Can I take the existing cable which is now going to the outdoor socket, cut this and ‘split’ it (like how you can do with a junction box and a 3 way splitter) and just run more cable to the new shed? The new shed still has sockets, lights, fusebox fitted as it did when it was wired in at the bottom of the garden.
