I am curious about fast screenouts.

The study made no mention of screenouts at all. it asked for my current zip code (is US) and my zip code as a child (US, about 5 miles away). Automatically screened out. I was thinking they know my demographics already and don't mention screenout in the description. That was soer of a fast one.

Study lists desktop, mobile or tablet. Requires camera, voice mic. Then you log in and wants you to log into apps on your phone.hahaha

This study requires audio participation via microphone. Please ensure you are in a quiet location, free from distractions and background noise. Sessions without quality audio recordings will not be considered complete.

Devices you can use to take this study:

  • Desktop
  • Mobile
  • Tablet

You will also need:

  • Audio
  • Camera
  • Microphone

Not just to say what happened on our phone, they want you in it lol

One place and One at a Time

I get One at a Time. If the researcher is handling each one, makes sense. And sometimes I can click it again if someone was screened out and it has a reasonable number of places. . But there are far too many '1 place' studies. They take up my time trying to click just to get a full message.

So this pops up: Learn an Alien Language (Day 1) By Psychologist (avoid)

Right up my alley. I have taken a Klingon course, studied mutliple languages. It is over 5 short surveys, but I was all for it! In the first couple questions, demographics, have not gotten to the instructions othr than 'can you do this at the same time over 5 days' and I say yes...it goes to an auto rejection. I have reported it, through a ticket and contacted them. My answer was "As you failed to answer a True/False question about the instructions, and have also refused to return your submission, I'm afraid I need to manually reject your submission to avoid a space in the experiment from being occupied during recruitment." I never had a true/false question.

Assessing acceptance of digital therapists in simulations (2026)

If you find it,you see it, it only says desktop as a requirement. I click into the study and almost immediately get a pop up that my screen is too small. It is not. I get an auto rejection in a message. I get a separate message from Prolific saying the rejection is for quality when I couldn't even start it.. 1 rejection. but the Prolific sort of backing it up. Anyone else? This is weird to say the least.

Entrepreneurial opportunity task By Kyung eun Park

I was almost 100% done when I accidetally clicked something that reduced my window size, to probably 90% rather than full screen in the last questions. I never left the survey. I got a pop up saying 'you have left the survey, you won't be able to continue'. I was on the last like demographic questions. I returned it, as I have recently been bitten by iimb.ac.inDid anyoe ele take this? I was literally on the last page that asked my gender, ethnic background, age, employment status and had answered half of those, which the researcher should know already,

What has been slow...

It's the weekend, so earlier today I had a normal amount then it almost stopped. It was slow a couple days, only in the middle of the day, especially when this and many other sites were down. What I find is really slow is approved (edited from payouts as that is confusing. Payouts ave been instant for me). I have more $ in my pending, much more than usual, over this past week, than in approved. I have had to do tons of smaller auto pay studies to cash out a normal amount, wich for me is between 20-50$. Pending gets higher and higher, and much more than usual even accouting for researchers that normallly take almost their full 21 days.

I looked in help pages, which weren't too specific on this. Normally, if I am screened out, it happens in the beginning of a study. Is this normal?

Making sure nothing was confidential. It is on moderator hold. I have never seen this before. It is similar to 'wrongly rejected' where I see another person's post.

Did anyone take this? I had to upload a picture of my headphones. I had to answer an attention check about the background sound and I was correct. It was an 11 minute study and I would have to fail 2 attention checks, which I did not. I was rejected this morning. I wrote the researcher and reported it.

I was using this fine, until a few days ago. Though I have seen people conplain it can be unreliable at times. I use it on chrome. I recently got a new usb webcam for my lapop, which works fine as a cam and a mic. But since, I don't hear the voice prompts for Prolific Assistant anymore. Does anyoe know why?

I finished this survey in it's entirety. I got a screened out message and 10 cents. Did this happen to anyone else?
