I am trying to renew with my current lender CIBC and selected 3 year variable rate. I asked them if I can extend my amortization to 25 years and they said No, I can’t without refinancing. I was under the impression that if I stay with my current lender they will let me increase the amortization to help with the monthly payment. Most people in this sub said it’s possible so I am not sure if they are lying.
I bought a laptop from HP canada online store in Feb and decided to return it in a couple of days. I was not charged till then when I decided to return. So I talked to CSR multiple times to make sure I wont get charged or if I do I will get refund as I am returning the laptop. They assured me of the same and sent me return labels. After 3 months in first week of May I get charged twice ( 2 separate days) for the laptop which I have already returned. The laptop was around 1k so I got charged 2k for a laptop I don’t have. I called them and seem like they think it will be corrected itself even though both the charges are already posted in my credit card account. I am actually worried if they will be able to fix it. Anyone else any idea what can I do in this case?
