I want to add this postcard to my sketchbook

I was at the gallery today and took lots of notes, but funny leave a space for the postcard. What would you do. I could hinge it from the right, but the following page is half text (which I could rewrite) the book won't be opened too frequently, but I would like it to last. I'm happy to have the postcard in portrait orientation.

I can see two options,

--a glued rice paper hinge, leaving space for it to fold properly,

--stitch in a folded strip and then tip in the card. The book is a standard stitched and glued block with fabric covered board covers. So I'd have to somehow work around existing stitches.

NC headphones/buds recommendations? Buds constantly fly out of my ears

I've old over the ear headphones, but they are bulky, and I try to travel only with an under the seat backpack. My soundcore NC earbuds work well, but end up popping out of my ears-I've replaced the foam with smaller sized memory foam, but it only works for a while.

Any suggestions before I lose the plot on people who listen to tiktok at high volume on public transport.

i am beyond furious right now. My long armer has been gathering dust for months because life has been such that I haven’t had the head space to tend to it. In that time two sets of people have stayed in the room where it lives. My stepson (whom I dislike) and my friend and her twin 8 year olds. Someone has f***ed up the machine. I’ve been trying to fix it for four hours and can’t put in a single stitch. I’ve narrowed it down to one fixable issue (clearance between the needle and bobbin casing) or one that will cost me hundreds to get fixed (timing, we don't have many machines near where I live, so bringing in a technician will cost lots). I’m too tired to try it now as it’s a delicate fix

It’s more likely to have been my stepson being drunk or stoned and falling against the machine and using the handles to save himself, than the twins. But because I don’t like him it’s easier for me to point the finger at him, and that's not fair-so I will have to suck it up and sort it out myself

And mom’s will understand what I’m going through right now, I can’t be angry or frustrated outwardly because DH and DD take on all of my emotions, as it is there’s an atmosphere because I’m p**sed off. Being properly expressive would make that worse, so I’m trying to make everyone else comfortable.

This was a new app to me, might be new to some of you. It's iCollect everything I'm using it on android, no idea if it's available on Apple. You can catalogue anything we DL it for books and DVDs but you can create your own category.

The downside I've found is with the generic kits, it doesn't often recognise the barcodes. It didn't recognise any cutebee either, but it did recognise robotime. But you can input the data manually.

It's a few app -although there are paid tiers, but for the free one, there were no ads. I've no affiliation to it btw.

This is a screenshot of what some of my collection catalogued looks like on my phone.

Well this is going to be interesting. Instructions in Chinese and very small. Lots of detail in the kit. I like the addition of separate piece 'maps' so you know what piece is what. But lots of fabric pieces, soft furnishings are my least favourite thing to do, I always end up with glue everywhere.

Turns out I have ten (!) kits on my shelf waiting for attention. And another on the way. But my current obsession is mid century modern and populuxe architecture, so this will be a good one to do.

Has anyone done it? Traps for the unwary?

When I saw this kit from Rolife, I had to have it. Carousel and vintage TV. The design is gorgeous and it mostly went together without a hitch. When it's switched on it plays calliope music and the big wheel turns. I have another TV waiting to go!

Definitely recommend this one. It has pride of place on my mantle piece

I hope I can link this kit, it's AliExpress and has a generic name and I can't find a brand. My house is overwhelmed with finished kits. But I figure this could be useful if the clock was functional.
