Got these a few years ago in a box of free computer parts, there was also a couple mobos, CPUs, floppy drives and a mountain of IDE/floppy cables. The design is pretty cool but i imagine there are some clearance issues with certain CPU coolers.
I'm interested in using my 464 for writing as the monochrome screen is great for displaying text, the only hang up is software as i would like to write on the CPC then export it to my PC somehow, i do have a disk emulator so physically transfering the data is easy but then getting the text out of a dsk file might be tricky, is there any software that has been written with this in mind?
Thorpe Park themselves shared a high resolution version of the EDGE entrance sign/logo a few years ago in the merlin pass holder facebook group, just stumbled across it on my PC again and thought i would share it since i don't think anyone has.
For those that don't know Stealth was originally called "EDGE" but before it opened Pizza Hut threatened legal action as they already had the trademark for a pizza called "the edge". This was in the months leading up to opening so they had already put up signage, under the right conditions and standing in the right spot you could actually make out the original logo underneath the Stealth sign, i'm not sure if you still can as they touched up the theming a few years ago.
I'm kinda glad they changed it, "edge" just doesn't work as a ride name in my opinion and naming a 205ft coaster "stealth" is incredibly ironic when you think about it.
