TURO'd a Sorento--What Can I Expect?

EV driver coming in peace. I just reserved a 2025 Kia Sorento S for a week-long, 1500-mile road trip. I've never driven one before. What can I expect and how can I make the most of my experience? What do you like and dislike about it? What should I know about it before I head out?

Great Service Experience in Council Bluffs, IA

Late last week, I spotted a small puddle under my vehicle. I figured it was AC condensation and didn't think much of it. That same day, I had a "coolant level low" warning light appear briefly. Uh-oh. I made an appointment for service 5 days out, which was the next available appointment. I immediately got a message that I should call Rivian, so I did. They explained that coolant leaks aren't something they like to let go for days, so they squeezed me in the next day the service center was open.

I arrived at 8 and was on the road in a loaner by 8:20. The SA told me he thought he knew what the problem was based on my description and the noise the vehicle was making. He estimated they would need to order a part that would be there in 2 days. He ended up being correct. 2 days later, I dropped off the rental and picked up my vehicle after hours without ever talking to anyone else.

Do I wish the service center were closer? Yes. Do I wish they could've handled it in one day? Also yes. But I understand that without a lot of service volume, it's hard to plan for every contingency. I know there are a lot of horror stories out there about Rivian service, but this wasn't one of them. Great job, CB!
