Was at Camden fireworks and it was amazing!!

On the focsle of the Battleship NJ Was behind a few young girls about age 8 chanting/shouting U.S.A. during the fireworks at the start. An absolute beefcake of a security volunteer (he had security on his T) also helped in the chant.

We were seeing lightning as a background to the fireworks. It was stunning.

Rain started. They went to finale in rapid pace. My understanding was that it was supposed to be 45 min displace now cut to 25-30 min. Such is life.

Background, why this was hyper magical for me: I had bought 3 tickets fer the battleship about a month ago. I had two friends who had expressed plenty of interest in being there with me. Both canceled this week. So I put the tickets up for grabs here and found a couple what wanted them. The fangs of fate smiled upon us and we missed each other as though we lived in a different dimension. The very fine folks curating the battleship gave them passes and I eventually gave my spare tickets way to a a young couple who did not understand at first how they could be given these for free.

It all worked out.

I came home soaked as though i had taken a shower in my clothes, a completely destroyed umbrella and a cell phone which luckily survived all of the wetness.

Final review: The live music on the ship was great, seeing and feeling the storm come in was amazing, but i think the best view is dockside, line of sight of the barge and hearing the music accompaniment. But the youths and the crowd joining in the chant of U.S.A. owns my heart.

I have two spare tickets for tonight's fireworks aboard the Battleship

EDIT: Tickets are spoken for.

I have two spare tickets for the 4th of July experience on the Battleship NJ in Camden, NJ. First come first serve. These are paid for and shouldn't go to waist.

Looking for best 4th of July place to be.

Me and my bud are disabled, her more so being in a power chair. That being said, we need to plan way ahead for fireworks. Since it's the 250th anniversary of this great nation I expect the celebrations to be much larger than most years. But where?

We did Camden riverfront 2 years ago and it was great fun with the Gin Blossoms giving an awesome free concert! What is coming this year? Where to go where NJTransit can take us?

I'm hoping for more than 20 min of fireworks...
