Does anyone know if the Vornado 80x would work well with a MERV 13 filter as a CR box as opposed to say an Air King? I plan on only using one filter (due to space) for my woodworking space

I made a round table top from a glue-up on the table saw. I’m afraid if I sand these burn marks down until they are gone, that it will alter the shape too much. If I run my hand around the edge, I can fell slight high spots every so often. I have very lightly sanded those by hand so they are still there but I think I can live with those.
So, how do I remove these burns without messing up the circle shape?
