I need some input on batteries

So sadly I think I know the answer but I’m just gonna ask….are my packs cooked? I had been noticing on my xrt that the chassis tray had some tabs cracked on it but didn’t think much of it. Truck has garage lyfe battery tray with straps and I think they are too long. For the 4 sets of packs I ran it seemed fine but tonight it took some hard tumbles and I noticed some of the straps seemed loose. Lo and behold when I took the shel off I saw snapped battery tray tabs and then I saw the wrinkles on both packs…pissed me off since I have been putting off installing the new chassis but I guess serves me right.

Does anyone bash with soft packs? Really liked these ovonics and they seemed to have more punch than the traxxas 6700 for a third of the price. But I’m not trying to lose a truck over 100 dollar pair of batteries. Now I know why the traxxas batteries it came with are hammered lol. What hard packs do you guys use? I saw Amazon has the chnl 8000 4s hard packs. Are those good? I plan to send in my batteries to swap out for new 6700 for 50% if they still do that. I’m sure these have been beat by previous owner lol.

So just got a new xmaxx. Thing is way different than the xrt and extremely fun in its goofy way lol! No pictures since I have been having way too much fun! Only thing is I already broke it lol. Not a fault of it. Was bashing and jumping and hit a steel pole and looks like a shock shaft either is really bent or I snapped it. I will get a picture later but was wondering what would be a good upgrade that’s more durable than stock be for shock shafts? I plan to might as well do all the shocks on my new xmaxx and change the fluid as well so it matches.

Also going to do my xrt as it needs some love since I bought it used. Really can’t believe I had a “dislike” for these cars. I say that because I have an hpi Baja and losi 5ts so to me those were proper large scales. But man these are just different in a good way! Still durable but pretty robust for the beatings they take! I’m in awe of as well of how crazier these trucks can get, stock the xmaxx is more fun than the xrt!!! Lastly anyone know what the lvc is for the stock esc? Idk if I hit that or a thermal warning it slowed down a bit and seemed sluggish but batteries came off and were around 3.97 volts. Traxxas 6700mah packs and stock gearing.
