Hey all, I’m a Class A Waste Treatment operator in SC and I’m wondering what ways I can use my credentials to fight back against the proliferation of data centers in my state.

It has taken at least 100 years for us to repair the damage done to our waterways by industries and this seems like it is a terrible return to the ways of old. As an operator I know what is going to happen if nothing is done to stop this new industry and I really don’t know where to start or what I should be doing to help keep my state heading in the right direction and not backslide.

I am not only morally concerned but I feel like we are at a crisis point for the environmental impact if nothing is done. Where should I start or what can I do personally to have my voice heard?

TLDR: I’m a waste treatment operator who wants to know where to start pushing to keep ai data centers from destroying my states waterways.
