Hi all -- just wondering whether anyone here has evaluated UB vs SUNY Oneonta, or transferred from one to the other, or otherwise might have any advice? It's a long story, but a family member of mine applied to college pretty late in the admissions cycle, was accepted to UB and Oneonta, and now needs to decide within the next 4-5 days.

Some info on the student: he is probably going to major in chemistry. He's a bit shy, although he would like to meet people and make friends. He will probably live alone and off-campus. He has a car so getting around won't be an issue. He's not a sports guy, either as a participant or a fan.
