Time of year for Chevy deals?

Looking to buy a 2026 suburban (or 27 I guess if I get far out into the year) but we are in absolutely no rush. It doesn’t seem like the 2027 will be a redesign so really no incentive to wait for it/maybe could snag a deal on a 2026. Is there a time of year that may be best? I’ve seen some history of 0% financing in the past on the previous year model, I’d assume we’d be qualified if that were to happen. We’d consider paying outright as well depending on the deal.

Men’s “everyday” type of shoe for casual work days / date nights

My husband typically wears the sporty Cole haan dress shoe to work which he does love, but I’d love to get him a bit of a more in between shoe that he could still get away with wearing at work (IT, jeans and a polo type of place) but out and about with the family too.

He always reaches for brooks sneakers for outings even when they aren’t fitting at all. Was considering getting him something like the attached Cole haan shoes but would love more options and brands to look at!

Loafers are most definitely not his style, neither are the like street style of ON sneakers.

Do you feel like you “returned to normal” faster than working moms?

Just came across a post about how long it took moms to “return to normal” (seemingly from a mental standpoint) after their last child and I was pretty shocked by some of the answers, many being 4+ years. I will admit I am a pretty even keeled person in general and my kids are relatively good sleepers so these two things probably have the greatest influence, but I am also home with my kids so I was curious if others felt that was a positive too!

Short term parking at Newark airport?

Looking for short term parking but for a couple of days. I typically fly out of Philly & park in short term parking and just fork over the cash for the convenience. If you’ve flown both- is there something similar at Newark? Any info on price? I saw something about a p6 lot but if I have to take a shuttle I’ll just Uber at that point!

Weeds or zinnia 🥲

I planted zinnia seeds from Eden brothers on a border in my garden, nothing else besides existing shrubs. These plants are EVERYWHERE, even 10-15 or so feet away from where I planted. Google says zinnia doesn’t spread that far. It’s my first time gardening at all at a new house, and it was a new build so a new bed in general. I went with seeds directly into the ground as a financial decision to see how anything grew here at all since it’s absolute full sun before testing out more in the future.

Best pin collection displays?

My husband has a pretty large pin collection that he previously had on a like felt ? cork board. We moved and bagged them up, but he would love to have them up in his office again. Both of our concerns is our small children, his previous board had pins falling out occasionally. Is there any solution to this? I thought a shadow box but his collection feels like it may be too big?

Shampoo/Conditioner for sensitive toddlers?

Looking at previous posts seemed to only show adult based products… looking to move beyond the baby body wash/shampoo combo for my daughter who has a ton of very straight/fine hair, leans more dry than greasy? Main thing is fragrance free as she is very sensitive to scents.

I’m not looking for medical advice!!! Attached a photo if helpful to clarify but my 2 year old went for her 2 year well visit & I mentioned I noticed her left eye turning in a couple of photos & they were taking a photo of her on what looked like an iPhone prior to me mentioning this… said she “failed” and referred to ped ophthalmologist. This was literally all the info I got (yes I absolutely should have asked more questions, I get overwhelmed easily). Immediately called every practice near me and got an appointment in a month, so I’m not specifically looking for medical advice. I would love to understand WTF is going on with my daughter- they didn’t even give me any names!

  1. Can someone define the different titles/names for things associated with this? I don’t even know if I’m on the right subreddit! There seems to be so many names out there and I would love to read about this without going down a rabbit hole for the completely wrong thing, but keep getting confused on the different names that pop up. Also want simple answers for the differences to be able to explain to my family when they ask without terrifying them.

  2. What was the photo test that was done?

  3. Can someone talk me off the ledge of the surgery aspect that is everywhere in this sub? Is this that common for kids this age if it’s not happening all the time?
