Interesting detail - the name Karaliene

I was so taken aback the first time I read the character's name - Karaliene. Does it sound like a random fantasy name to English speakers?

Because in my native language, Latvian, it is not random at all - the direct translation is "Queen."

Reading it has been so surreal for two reasons. Firstly, Latvian is spoken by approximately 1.5 million people, so we are always blown away when someone references us, our language, or actually knows where Latvia is on the map. Secondly, imagine reading a book where your brain automatically translates it, constantly reading "princess Queen did this and that".

Thank you for reading my rant, I had to get it off my chest :D

Questions about TSOTF

Just finished reading TSOTF and my mind is blown. So great! There are a couple of things, though, I can't stop thinking about and it seems I can't find any answers on here either. Please feel free to redirect me to any other threads if these things are already covered elsewhere.

>!Why did Kiya start talking to Vis? Why did she say "Do not consume more than you need"? If she's a "robot" type iunctus, that means somebody commanded her to say it. And why? Why draw attention to the filtration system? !<

>!What is the difference between Djedef and Vis's father compared to the Gleaners and Overseers? Why are the former able to act independently while the latter are programmed? !<

>!And of course, the standard question: who is fighting whom? It seems like Ka is trying to fight the Concurrence. Whose side is Veridius on? He doesn't have the whole picture, so is he just against the Cataclysm? And what about Ostius? !<

>!The O-Caeror said he felt the L-Caeror dying a couple of weeks after his arrival in Obiteum. Does that mean he lied? !<

>!Who was the Iunctii's chant—"Obiteum is lost"—meant for? Was it intended for those fighting against the Concurrence?!<

I’d appreciate any insight or speculation on these questions!
