Are these retail releases limited editions?

I’m new to Fantasy novels and I’ve been interested in this trilogy. Are the upcoming releases (image attached) limited editions? Aka if I want these, do I need to buy them now or will they still be available let’s say a year or so from now? Debating to go all in or just get the book 1 paperback (or the box set) to see if I like it enough in the first place.

Interesting detail - the name Karaliene

I was so taken aback the first time I read the character's name - Karaliene. Does it sound like a random fantasy name to English speakers?

Because in my native language, Latvian, it is not random at all - the direct translation is "Queen."

Reading it has been so surreal for two reasons. Firstly, Latvian is spoken by approximately 1.5 million people, so we are always blown away when someone references us, our language, or actually knows where Latvia is on the map. Secondly, imagine reading a book where your brain automatically translates it, constantly reading "princess Queen did this and that".

Thank you for reading my rant, I had to get it off my chest :D

Malshash

I’m on my second read through the trilogy, on book 1 currently. I would definitely recommend.

One thing I can’t quite figure out is, when is Malshash? I assume it’s just Tal’kamar in his normal timeline (70 years prior), but is that before or after Svaelar? It seems like it’s a younger, less wise version of himself than it should be. I know he’s meant to be mysterious, plus he’s hiding from the rest of the Venerate… but he doesn’t seem like he knows as much as he should.

I hope this starts a good discussion!

Almost done with book 1, i have a couple questions

First of all, i´m reading the books in english although my first language is spanish, so maybe some questions i have are because of that. also i´m in the final 100 pages so maybe a couple of RAFOs are in my questions.

1.- How does exactly Essence and Kan work? i kinda understand Essence as saidin and saidar form WoT but Kan is...weird, it allows the user to draw essence and use it but also other things? what other things? what are exactly the limits of Kan and Essence?

2.- Could someone explain the geography of Illin Illan a little better? i see names like Illin Tora, Fedris Idri, Tol Athian and such being thrown a lot and since the map only has Illin Illan as a location is a little confusing to know what they are talking about.

3.- Can someone also explain the history of past events a little better? What was the night of ravens? What is the unseen war? what other wars were there and how long ago?

4.- What are exactly the 4 tenets? like word for word, and who and how exactly can they be changed? Can the northwarden and the king change them if they wanted to? How does a Gifted get its mark? why other gifted seem to not have it?

I guess thats all, if you can help me with a couple of answers i would be very grateful.

the urge to reread

finished the trilogy a couple of months ago. How long do you recommend waiting before rereading it again? I feel like this is one of those stories that you need to read at least twice to fully understand everything
