Is using the verb maturieren an immediate giveaway that someone is from Austria (or Switzerland?)

I mean specifically in an online context (assumedly if one was speaking in person you would realize earlier that they were from another German-speaking country from their accent), if you see someone comment in an online space something like "nächstes Jahr werde ich maturieren..." (usw.) would that signify to you that they are not from Germany? Where would you then assume the person is likely from?

(Wiktionary and Duden label maturieren an Austrian word, although Switzerland also has Matura/Maturität and possibly so do other German-speaking regions outside Germany, I'm not sure if the word maturieren is used there too or associated with them as much)

Would hallöchen be used by kids to say hi to a baby?

Or, what other words/greetings would be used in this context?
