Lots of shoes on sale. Prime X3 at 8k, AP4 at 7.8k, B13 at 5.1k, ZF6 at 4.9k etc.
May EVO SLs for 5.1k pero ubos na.
I want to share the result of my time trial earlier today. Mabagal ito for a lot of people but im just really happy with the progress! Can't believe na magagawa ko ito at 38 years of age.
I was a heavy smoker (smoking a pack and half during the last two years) since I was in 3rd yr highschool. I went on a very easy hike early 2025 at hindi ko matanggap na sobra hingal ko kaya tinigilan ko ang yosi at nagsimula ako magrun.
Did a ton of research, bought a lot of shoes, ran 5x a week, ran my first half marathon, got injured, started incorporating intervals, started using a carbon plated shoe, got injured again, listened to my body, started running specific weight training, started focusing on proper load management and recovery.
Dami kong sinabi but i guess all i want to say is it's a constant learning process and I am enjoying the journey. Stay consistent and train smart. I hope you get your next PBs! Happy Friday!
On sale in NB's official Shopee store. Got my pair for 4.3k kanina 1am but it is still on sale for a very good price right now.
Rev currently selling the VN4 Saysky version for only 3800! Ekiden for 4500. Limited sizes left.
BACKGROUND: Wala talaga planong bumili but napabili dahil sa sale last week. Maganda naman reviews (for the most part) so sige try natin.
STATS: 65kg, mid-forefoot striker.
PRICE: 2,100 in Lazada
FIT: TTS. FYI pala, Xtep just changed their sizing. Dun sa Lazada post, lumang size chart pa yung nakapost but sa Taobao nila yung updated. I ordered size 9 dahil 265cm yun sabi sa Lazada pero nakuha ko is 270cm. Ok naman sizing, I just used thicker socks.
UPPER: Honestly ang ganda ng upper neto. Comfortable, breathable at maganda lockdown. Generous fit sa toebox (or baka dahil half size up nakuha ko). No irritations, hotspots, etc.
OUTSOLE: Have only done 1 run in this. Did not encounter any issues with traction.
MIDSOLE: Ineexpect ko na firm itong midsole pero di ko inexpect na sobrang firm at halos walang energy return. I did an 11km progressive run. Eto naramdaman ko for every pace.
7mins/km: SEMENTO
6mins/km: KAHOY
Ang layo ng energy return from other shoes I tried like DX, Evo SL and VN4.
Masyadong firm at lifeless ang midsole netong sapatos na to for me, especially at slow paces. For faster paces naman, other shoes in my rotation perform better.
JogonCrago, Run.Are and Road to Trail gave this shoe great reviews. I trust those reviewers pero this time, mas agree ako kay Hui. I think the Xtep 2k 5.0 Pro is much suited for heavier runners.
