[OC] washing feet in the airport basins

Appalled - was boarding a flight from Delhi to Abu Dhabi.
Went to a washroom nearby and was appalled at the state of it - some aunties were washing their literal feet in the basin

I went to the washroom next to it at a 2 minute walking distance. I complained to the cleaner lady that the washroom was dirty. She said “ I know - I just cleaned it. They were washing their feet no?”

These are apparently travelers for Me*ca and it seemed to be common practice. The cleaner lady said they have asked them to stop and no one listens.

I am going to write to the airport authorities.

I was literally disgusted - imagine a foreigner coming into the washroom and seeing this

Ofcourse with a valid reason: in my case, caring for my chronically sick mother

Can somone please help?

Apartment buying in Dub

Hi folks - would you recommend any absolutely safe areas with great amenities to buy an apartment in Dublin? Have been here for almost 4+ years and rent is a killer. Budget we can stretch is upto 450k or even a tad bit higher
We are currently in Rathmines, love it absolutely but very low availability in the area that would be within our budget.
About us: we are a young couple in our 30’s no kids but would plan next year
We are a bit spoiled now living in the heart of Rathmines and being close to Portobello, Grafton etc
Definitely want to avoid any rougher areas as we are POC and could be more targeted in certain rough parts of the city and 100% want to avoid any unpleasant experiences (no matter how small)
Any areas you would recommend please?

Irish kids

ust got thrown water at and called an Indian bitch by a group of extremely young kids - maybe 7/8. This happened in a relatively safe neighbourhood (Ranelagh/Rathmines). I would have given them a piece of my mind but unfortunately they ran away.
For anyone who comes back with “they’re kids.. this happens to Irish people etc” this is still no excuse.
No one deserves to be harassed for their skin color or any other things and not be able to do anything.

Moreover, it leaves a permanent mark because I would just be watching over anytime I go on a walk now.
Need to have better laws in this country 🙏🏻
Also anyone who comes back with - xyz happens in your country, yeah it does and while we cannot control everyone, there is a law and we can file a complaint knowing an action/investigation will take place. Not be left feeling helpless.
