Has my EXT Storia V3 gone bad?
I bought this Storia V3 late last year. I rode about 100 hours and everything was fine. I could hear the oil whooshing around during compression and rebound and it kind of sounded nice. But right around 100 hours I started hearing this honking/kazooish noise you can hear in this video. It is audible during compression then gets louder during rebound. I already had is serviced at Suspension Syndicate but it is still making this same noise right after the service. I showed them this video and they said this sounds like a normal Storia V3 at bottom out. But since I rode this trail about 50 times this year before I ever heard this noise, it sure does not seem normal. Also, I get the same noise rough chunky stuff nowhere near bottom out. The tough thing is I cant recreate the noise by cycling the suspension on flat ground and they cant recreate it on their dyno.
I was hoping maybe someone has already chased down a similar noise with these and has a recommendation. I have already checked preload, mounting hardware etc. Thanks
