Building a Water Shipper Freighter: A lesson in frustration

Hey guys, it's me—the creator of Falconhold.

Ever since I noticed that the Water Shipper build set has what looks like landing legs, and many of the bits look like they are made for starships, I had the inkling to give the idea a go.

So a couple of days back, I took my buggy out, ground out over 10,000 granite, and started making it.

And it has been a lesson in abject frustration.

There are so many missing pieces: no solid corner blocks, no half-length ramps or stairs, no ladders, and no double-length doors.

NO ROUNDED PARTS WHATSOEVER.

Still, I had already done the mining, so I pushed on. I got a basic design done and filled up some of the rooms. But now, I'm out of motivation.

I'm not happy with the compromises I ended up with, and I really don't feel like finishing it.

So, here are some of the pretty pictures of the unfinished hulk.

Remade my public shelter.

It's a lot less grandiose and smaller than the guest house I made in my old location, and there is no shelter for a thopter anymore. But it still counts as watersealed.

The loot remains the same as before, with several public chests offering water, health kits, welding wire, gear, and even some vehicles.

I'm unlikely to refill all of them, and anyone wanting them needs to avoid the two sandflies, but otherwise, the gear is free for anyone who needs it.

Falconhold Returns!

After a five-month sabbatical in Arrakeen, I've returned to the Hagga Basin. Unfortunately, my old base location had been claimed, so I had to relocate. Naturally, that meant a bit of redecorating.
