Chuck (Charles) and John Dougherty from Legacy of the Ancient/Blacksilver fame

Does anyone know how to get in touch with Chuck (Charles) and John Dougherty? I sure would love to have another adventure in Tarmalon.

I saw Michael Cranford is making a new C64 game.... I'm tempted to hit up David Fox on Facebook and see if he'd like to get another version of Zak McKracken off the ground. :)

Central Ohio random connection problems

Have AT&T 1 gig fiber. Using their BGW-320 gateway device and a Synology RT6600AX router.

This setup has been working perfectly for a couple of years with zero problems. The BGW-320 has been reset, diags all pass, Synology router has been bounced as has my network switch but I've continued to have random disconnects all afternoon. Pages just refuse to load for 2 or 3 minutes then start working again. Tried switching DNS servers and no change. I then opened a terminal and did a steady ping to Google's DNS server and get lots of random timeouts. Anyone else in this area having problems? I think I might swap out the Synology router with an old ASUS router I have laying around to see if my Synology is going south.

Factory alternator died about 2.5 years ago. Replaced it and installed a new battery and no problem. Fast forward to about a week ago, and the battery wasn't producing enough juice and the starter just clicked away.

Got a jump and it started fine. With the car running, voltage measured about 13.1V. Left sitting overnight, it dropped to 11.0. Battery was only about 2.5 years old and was a Diehard model purchased from Advance Auto.

Replaced the battery with one from AutoZone and it's been rock solid ....... for about 6 days..... which brings me to this evening. Was driving home and an alert popped up on the dash. I checked the code and it was B1112-16. I know that this code can appear after a battery replacement but I would think I would see it the day the battery was replaced, not nearly a week later.

So what say you all.... clear the code and see if it returns or start checking all the fuses?

... the licensing stuff.

Why-oh-why is there no straight forward way to see how many client licenses are being used by our friends and family?

I know, I know...."you'll get warnings if you get close to your limit". Well now days, I'm afraid that isn't good enough anymore. There needs to be a clear, easily visible counter that us server admins can see.

I'd hate for there to be less competition in this space but with Plex pissing people off nearly every week with auth problems and dwindling the server team down to two developers and Emby being cryptic about license count usage.... people are flocking to free, no limit Jellyfin.

Looking at Dockerhub stats and Reddit (member count for each of the subreddit's for the 3, major media servers) and weekly visitors per each subreddit)... it's clear to see the pattern. More and more people are switching to JF and will eventually surpass Plex. As far as install base is concerned, it appears to be like this: Plex>JF>Emby.

Emby dev's, please simplify the licensing stuff or you'll end up driving people like me away. But maybe I'm not your target customer .... I share my library with way more than 30 people and tossing the dice on licensing issues with Emby vs. no-limit Jellyfin, my path forward is becoming more and more clear.
