Preparing myself for the Interim PA - Peak Season

Hi everyone. I'm an Amazon Tier 1 associate planning to apply for an Interim Process Assistant position during Peak this November.

I've been taking on additional responsibilities whenever possible, such as supporting operations outside my normal role, and I'm trying to develop the habits that actually make someone successful, not just look busy.

For those of you who are AM, OM, Senior Ops, or experienced PAs:

•What behaviors make a Tier 1 associate stand out to you?

•What separates the associates who get selected from those who don't?

•What are the biggest mistakes ambitious associates make when trying to become a PA?

•If you could give one piece of advice to someone preparing over the next few months, what would it be?

I'd really appreciate hearing your perspective. Thanks in advance!

What do you think guys?

Since December 2025, I've been noticing that a lot of managers are getting transferred to other sites or quitting. Today, my manager approached me and told me it was our last day working together because she's moving to another site in a different state. Now we only have 2 AMs (we used to have 8) and 3 OMs (we used to have 7). Given this scenario, is there any chance my site might be closed?
