Reverse lead guitar with software

I want to get something close to the classic reverse lead guitar sound from psychedelic rock using just softsynths and fx. I guess I could just find a nice distorted guitar patch and record as audio then reverse, but I'd like to be able to hear the sound as I'm playing. I've got Synthmaster one and two, iProphet, J6, King of FM, Continua and Pro A-5. Any tips appreciated.

Apps which won’t receive midi clock

Just in case anyone gets caught out, there seems to be this bizarre presumption on the part of some developers that their app will be the one app to rule them all. Deal breaker for me, so AUM, Cubasis 3 and Xequence 2 are off the table. I know it’s doable to have apps slave to MIDI clock as several do, including Loopy Pro. Not good, IMO. If this affects you, now you know. (And yes, I know there are some partial workarounds with link etc.)

Lydian #2 leads to famililar-sounding progression

I was exploring G Lydian #2 and found a chord progression (in triads): G, Bm, A# dim, Bm....

What strikes me as odd that that this sequence sounds very comfortable and familiar, yet I arrived through a very obscure scale. I'm thinking there must be a less obscure path to it. Like some kind of chromaticism or substitution?

Any insights appreciated.

Helium clip-launching quantize/sync

I like Helium, particularly because it lets me record-quantise note ends (I wish more apps would do this). What I don't understand is its clip-launching functionality. I can define regions and switch between them, but there is no quantise for the switch (it's immediate), and tempo sync with the host is disabled when switching clips. What gives/what have I missed please?

GarageBand Drummers Broken on iPad

When I try to add a drummer, the drummers don't show up - just the names of some of the grooves. When I add one of these, I get a screen with a bunch of drums in a grid, but no automatic drummer like the yellow screen I used to have and it' doesn't play any groove. The only way I can have an automatic drummer is to select a yellow loop. Then I can swap drummers in the yellow drummer window. This would be OK except there are no yellow loops in 6/8 time.

I know the packs are loaded, as the individual grooves show up. What's happened to my drummers please?

I've tried reinstalling, but no success. The relevant packs are clearly loaded as there are yellow loops in the apple loop selector in 4/4 time.

Please note the 6/8 thing is only a detail. The main problem is that the drummers are missing from the add drums section.

Does SynthMaster 2 have same bugs as SynthMaster 1?

SynthMaster 1 sounds great but there are some serious bugs with preset management when using it as an AU3. Does SynthMaster 2 also have bugs with preset saving/categories etc. or is it a smoother ride?

Music Visualizer Like Old Windows Media Player Which Responds to internal Sounds and is not a Subscription

Recommendation please. I’ve tried many apps and read many posts, but the requirements are specific. Not just mic, must be able to play local files, not a subscription.

Instrument view size

It seems that for an instrument to make a sound it must be selected, not just have the red armed button on. This means most of the screen is taken up and I can't see what I'm playing in relation to anything but a couple of tracks which remain visible above the instrument. Is opening an instrument really the only way to get it to produce sound or am I missing something?
