It's time I learned about NFO's, any pointers?

Hello all,

I've been wanting to learn about making NFO's for my library for sometime. I've always relied on scrapers, which has worked fine, but on a few rare occasions, a show has been modified on TMDb after I scrape. So when I've needed to rescrape on different device, there might be little differences. Its not a massive deal, but I'd just like my library to be recognized the same way consistently. NFO's will accomplish this, correct?

What exactly do I need to do to get the NFO's, what's the general approach to having NFO's rather then relying on scraping? Do they do an initial scrape, then the NFO is created? Is there a setting in Kodi to use NFO's instead of the scraper?

Any help is very much appreciated!

Recommendations for a first camera?

Hello all, throughout the years, I've considered on and off getting a camera. Recently, I was at Costco, and saw a Nikon for $650 or so, and it just got me thinking again. I won't pretend like I know a ton about the different models and lenses, but it's always been something I've wanted to get into.

I have a tendency to get like hyper focused on a hobby, so part of the reason for not getting into it in the past has been that I felt like I couldn't devote the time to it that I really want to. But each trip I take, I end up sort of wishing I had a camera besides what's on my phone (Pixel 10 xl).

So like I said, I saw the Nikon at Costco (not sure if the model) and it got me thinking again. Shortly after, I ran into a friend of a friend who had some cameras in him, he recommended a Nikon V1. The idea of just buying a used camera really appeals to me actually. I think it would satisfy that craving, but at the same time, not spend a hugs amount on features that I may end up never using. When I started googling around, I also saw recommendations of a Nikon D3300 as a place to start. Ideally I'm looking to spend around $200 for something used.

So I'm wondering if this a reasonable price point to meet my expectations. For what it's worth, I enjoy taking pictures of landscapes and animals, and probably a candid pic here and there of my wife. Any recommendations are appreciated.

(1) USA, $250 USD max.

(2) I just have my phone, looking to take other styles of photos.

(3) Looking to shoot landscapes, animals (large and tiny) and my wife.

(4) Primarily for photography
