Dysautonomia Causing Nighttime Adrenaline Dumps

Dysautonomia Causing Nighttime Adrenaline Dumps

I found this description of nighttime issues interesting: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NBqdg4b756c Dr. Nathan Keiser 18min. The basic argument is that your body is pumping out adrenaline because you aren't getting enough oxygen to the brain. He goes into why that might be.

For me, the thing I noticed was night sweats. Some mornings I would wake up reeking of sweat. I sometimes have to be in a certain position to sleep and MCAS was an issue.

Are there ph test strips that work right? Or not?

I tried to test ph but my strips keep turning blue, indicating ph 6+. I have "yogurt" and it's OK, so I'm not trusting that the strips are working right. Do some strips just not work right in L Reuteri?

Please don't comment "you don't need to test". I get that, but I'm curious.

Here are some older posts that seem related:

These strips look like what I tried, and they had the same question I have: https://www.reddit.com/r/ReuteriYogurt/comments/1r40sff/do_these_test_strips_work_in_the_yogurt/

This one appears to work: https://www.reddit.com/r/ReuteriYogurt/comments/1k0wlv3/40_ph_on_lreuteri_yogurt_at_23_hr_mark/

This person used an actual meter: https://www.reddit.com/r/ReuteriYogurt/comments/1bmuana/i_bought_a_ph_meter_and_here_are_photos_showing/

I saw a recent documentary where some medical looking people were saying that you can't test individual iodine levels, only population averages.

I've heard iodine trained doctors say that plasma iodine levels are basically useless (always "normal"), and that the 24 hr iodine challenge collection test is the best (but that's a lot of effort).

The WHO reference ranges on iodine are based on UIC (urinary iodine concentration), so I assumed that it's useful. Is UIC a useful test?

Edit: This is the video. It's basically a history of iodine being added to salt and whether you can taste the difference. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XRcwwZXJ8gk The quote I'm questioning starts at 26:15.
