Setting that reduces Y distance with multi-color

What is the setting or configuration that reduces the Y axis size of the plate when using multiple colors? See the attached pictures - 1 color: I'm in bounds; 2 colors - I'm now out of bounds. No other changes...

I'm using a K1SE with Creality Print. There is space for the purge tower. I know I can rotate my object to fit the (for some reason) smaller Y axis.

But why does this happen and is there a way to stop it?

K1SE printed enclosure experiences?

I want to enclose my K1SE (for esthetics, adding more lighting, printing different materials) using mostly if not all 3d printed parts (minus hardware that is needed like heat inserts and bolts). If anyone would be so kind as to describe your experience doing so, I'd appreciate it.

I'd love to read what you have to say about any particular model sets or approaches. I'm not seeing much on moving to a chain (K1SE uses a high arching route for the filament and power cables) so I'm very interested in that as a part of the process.

Thank you!

K1SE stopped adhering to plate overnight

Olga, my K1SE, just stopped working overnight. This morning I tried printing a second copy of a model I printed last night and it failed to adhere to the plate. I cleaned my Frostbite plate with plain blue Dawn and tried again… and again… and again. I tried with the default PEI plate and same thing - no adherence to the plate. I took my nozzle out and cleaned up the little bit of residue, reinserted, did a PID and level calibration and Olga still doesn’t print well.

During portions of the print, it sounded like the extruder was clicking. I took it out and checked it for debris - nothing. It performs an extrusion without any clicking so I didn’t think that was going to be the issue anyway.

I tried adjusting the z-offset both real time and in Creality Print. I can’t seem to get a consistent first layer across the plate. In this last picture I have a square with good z distance and several that are way too close (at least that is what it seems like to me). You can also see that when my printer starts a square, it doesn't lay down the first part well at all. This seems like a pressure advance issue. I have completely run through calibration on this filament (which was dry when I put it on the spool holder yesterday).

My nozzle probably has about 1300 hours of PLA and a few hundred more with PETG and Silk. I have a few nozzles coming so I could wait for them. However, when I cleaned my nozzle, it didn’t really look worn or bored out.

Does anyone have any thoughts as to how I could go from printing well last night to 0 good prints today?

I have a video of the clicking but the app won't seem to let me post both a picture and video.

Creality Print creating cantilever after dovetail cut

After performing a dovetail cut in Creality Print, the slicer creates a floating cantilever. I can't figure out why. Before cutting, the object is completely flat on the plate. After cutting, the new objects have missing portions of the first layer.

Has anyone seen this issue or solved it?
