I found my dead grandpa's social security card in my kitchen.

I stayed up really late last night. I was puttering around and noticed a white envelope with gold foil inside laying on my kitchen counter. It was opened, nothing written on the outside, and appeared empty. I was going to toss it, but it wasn't empty. Inside was my late grandfather's social security card (born 1919) and one of my high school senior pictures. (I graduated high school in 1993).

My grandfather passed from cancer in 1996 at their cabin in lake Tahoe, although they mostly lived in Palm springs at the time. My grandmother continued to live in the same house in Palm springs until she passed in 2024. I have never lived with my grandparents, and they never lived with me. I bought and moved into my current house in 2020. My grandma, although alive, was old and frail and was never able to visit us in this house.

I'm at a complete loss. Universes colliding?!!?
