Something strange happened to me a couple of days ago and I need help understanding what it was.

For context I live in the rual Midwest and this story happened at dusk.

So I was exploring the tree line of the field by my house(which had recently been harvested) when I turned to leave. As I was leaving I saw a white flower on top of a corn stalk so I went to investigate it. As I got closer I relised that the flower wasn't there and neither was the cornstalk(The cornstalk I saw the flower on was tall. Like you couldnt miss it if you were far away). As I looked around I saw another flower on a tree. While I was looking at it I saw the movment of something with pitch black skin in the tree lines. Also it was high up in the tree line. Maybe 7 feet or so. I turned back and started running to get away from what I saw. When I was running I heard a branch snap behind me. As I got further from that spot I slowed down and started walking. I was about to leave the field when I saw another white flower hanging from a tree.

I don't know what to make from this encounter but if anyone does can you please let me know.

Ok so this happened around 3 am? I was half asleep. Scrolling through reels like everyone does. My sister and I share a room.

I heard a knock (everyone in our house sleeps at 3) we heard it twice. But since our house is not really new things act up a lot and you might confuse old door sounds with other things yk

Anyway I wake my brother up to go check out what's up. And we go outside into the garage.

Mind you 3 am. I come from a very underdeveloped country so women generally don't leave the house after 12 for their own safety.

Anyway we go into the garage and hear women laughing. No matter how hard we try we can't understand what they are laughing about?

Could this be a coincidence? BTW we all went back to sleep. For some reason I wasn't that scared but now I'm scared talking about it. Anyways it never happened again.

My boyfriend and I went to the cloud splitter a few weeks ago and camped up at the top. We got there super late though so we had to hike up the entire trail in the dark. About halfway up when we were still in the woods we saw a big millipede so I took my pack off to look at it and get out a UV light. All the sudden we hear this loud noise. Sounded nothing like any animal I've ever heard, coming from an animal/nature nerd. It was high pitched and had a few beats to it. The first time we heard it we were weirded out but ignored it. Then we heard it again but louder. After the third time it basically sounded like it was on top of us so I quickly threw my pack back on and we took off up the trail. The whole way up I could hear it every 10-20 seconds. Sounded the exact same every time. I woke up in the middle of the night and heard it going again. I have listened to every bird, big cat, coyote, etc sound I could think of and nothing came even remotely close. My boyfriend and I agree it was freaky and sounded human-like. I am well versed with weird animal noises in the area (including scream-like sounds) and it truly was nothing like anything I've heard. Has anyone had a similar experience? Not to mention the drum circle my boyfriend heard at 3 AM in the night. Anyways, it is bothering me trying to figure out what it was. Anyone have any input?

So Hi 21F I don’t know how to explain this experience and I’ve been trying to figure it out but I’ve been having dead ends. So let’s give some context. I went to South Carolina to see my brother graduate from Parris island and honestly it was a great trip. I’m adopted so my adopted parents decided to rent this air bnb I think with a really basic name I think the name was the resort? So as we went inside and saw this two bedroom apartment my adopted mother told me there was a pool and beach near by and it was extremely hot in temperature so naturally I decide to go after unpacking. I decided to stay in the pool area since I don’t like beaches due to the sand getting all over the place.

As I put my towel and sandals next to my chair I had a strange feeling to look up and saw crows just flying around and staying on the trees. I thought it was strange since there was no food or animals near by. As I get in the water I feel eerie and don’t know how to explain it. All of a sudden more crows started coming near my area just cawing and watching me and it felt off. A few minutes later my adopted dad decides to come to pool and before I could point out the crows they all flew away after he enters the pool door. I knew something was wrong but I couldn’t explain why.

I did end up telling him what I saw and he brushed me off saying birds come and go or something like that. I was too focused on why the crows left immediately after my dad opened the door. Anyway after we got out of the pool he went to join my mom to the beach and I went inside. My grandma who came as well was asleep and I was just thinking about how odd that situation was.After that I went to sleep and it was 4am and we were getting ready to see orientation for the graduation.

After we got back to the Airbnb I decided to go the pool again since I was sweating and just wanted to relax from being in heels all day. Immediately after I got near the pool crows came flying around and went back to the same branches they were in the day before. I was in shock and was about to go back but ultimately decided not to since I was just two steps away from the pool door and it was just no point to do so since the way back was a 5 minute walk and a few stairs. After I finished in the pool. I went back inside and decided to get ready for bed. My grandma was awake and praying in the room we were sharing so I decided to just wait on the couch for her to finish.

I must have been exhausted since last thing I remember was me listening to a podcast and closing my eyes. I woke up and checked the time for it to be around 2 in the morning. As I was about to get up and head to my bed I heard a piano playing one note continuously for two straight minutes then it just stopped. Then someone started moving stuff in the cabinets. the problem was I didn’t see anyone in the kitchen. The layout was the kitchen was next to the front door a dinner table is sandwiched next to the fridge and couch I was sleeping on. So I would have obviously seen someone.

But I didn’t. Immediately after that I heard a dog barking in the direction of the window facing the pool. That’s when I got scared. The dog barking was the basically the cherry on top due to the fact the barking sounded rehearsed and robotic at the same time. I went to get up and i couldn’t move. I got extremely concerned since that would be the first time I experienced sleeping paralysis.

As I waited for it to pass something told me to close my eyes. I was confused but I did. After I did my eyes refused to let me open them. As I tried to open them something told me you will be ok ONLY IF you keep your eyes close. After that I just let my body go limp and kept my eyes closed I felt something looking at me. I decide to pray and after a minute of praying I was able to move.

I booked it to my bed and went to sleep hoping that was a dream. After that I went to sleep and woke up to go see family day with my family. When we went back to the air bnb I decided not to go to the pool and went straight to the couch to watch a show. I told my family earlier on that day about what happened and they said they didn’t hear anything. When my dad came over to the couch he made a joke about what happened and went back to the room. Annoyed and tired I just let it go and went to take small nap.

I woke up and this time I couldn’t move I try to get up to check my phone but my body is limp and for some reason that same feeling came back that screamed at me DONT OPEN YOUR EYES. I decided to follow the instructions and didn’t that same energy of someone looking at me felt much closer to me-like it was toppling over my body. I don’t know what it looked like since my eyes had a mind of its own and still refused to open. After what felt like hours I was able to get up and run back to my bed. I knew that my grandmother had bible next to the lamp in the room so I prayed hoping whatever was happening would pass. I fell asleep and woke for the day of the color guard ceremony and graduation .

After it ended and we said our goodbyes to my brother we go and head back to the Airbnb. This was my last day at the Airbnb and the next day I was going back home. I knew that I was going to sleep in the bed and not the couch. Before I headed to sleep I told my “parents” what happened and they thought I was crazy and said if I have been taking any medication. I was pissed and said no telling them that I wasn’t lying and how was hurt they would think I was taking drugs. When I slept on the bed nothing happened and with that being the only day out of that trip that was actually able to sleep. I wish this was where this story ended but I was wrong.

A few days after being home in my own bed that same feeling of being watched. Nothing happened for a few more days but that feeling of being watched was more and more intense. After my second day off I went to sleep to get ready for work. I woke up later on that night. I couldn’t move. That’s when I was truly scared. This was the third time I had sleep paralysis in the same month. And I was in my home state. That same feeling said to me to keep my eyes closed. I did.

It eventually went away. But I was freaking out. The reason I’m terrified now is that I had another experience. And that’s when I realized that in the last experience I had a random thought I kept thinking over and over before the sleep paralysis happened. When it happened again this week I was talking about that same topic and immediately after I finished rambling to myself I passed out in my bed. Then as that same feeling of keeping my eyes closed and it going away again I forgot what I was rambling about even though I know I had a big discussion about this in my head. My brain won’t let me remember and I’m scared of what is happening.

Where I am now it’s getting colder since it’s autumn. So my window is closed now the day the most recent sleep paralysis happened my window was open all the way up. My room is on the second floor and my room is always locked since I live with my best friend’s family renting a room. No one could have gone in my room without me knowing. Does anyone know what’s happening or if you have any similar situations ?

why won’t my brain let me remember what I was talking about? This is my most concerning experience since I know it was the same topic but I can’t remember. It like that discussion never existed

Well one experience for me when I was particularly manic is as follows. I haven't slept in days as I was full of energy. This was about the 5th day and I was driving home from a general doctor's appt about 35 Miles away from my home. I momentarily blacked out or micro sleep occurred. I hit an embankment and then flipped several times car finally coming to a rest on its side. I was conscious the entire time. I was not fearful at all nor was I in any pain. My legs were crushed from the knees down and I was pinned. About 25 minutes later the fire dept arrived. It took them a little over 3 hours to cut me out of the wreckage. The entire car was crushed. I was told that every seat in the car was crushed besides the one I was sitting in. I have pictures. Besides my legs I only had a small scratch on my forehead but no confusion. I felt the entire time that I was not alone. I was communicating with someone unseen but never verbally. It was calming and reassuring. I think my guardian angel was with me. I also think that perhaps I died on impact and was either restored or replaced by an entity that maybe took over my body, mind, and all of my thoughts and memories. I think that beings name may have been Aurora and maynot have been of this planet.

Anyways, I think I know have a keen sense of awareness that is stronger than before the accident. I should mention that although I am still bipolar, I am not longer manic. I feel connected with nature but especially the cosmos. I'm at such peace on a clear night just looking up at the stars. I feel a deep connection with animals and children. Strangers tell me their life story in checkout lines. I can't explain it. I can only say that I may or may not be the same person.

When I was about seven years old, my family and I had moved from East Point, Ga to Forest Park, Ga. I left behind a best friend named Johnny. A few months after we moved, I was at an Easter egg hunt near where we lived. I remember sitting on the floor with all of the other kids when suddenly someone sat down beside me. It was Johnny! I asked him what he was doing there and we talked like we’d never been apart. We went outside together and were right next to one another. About five minutes into the egg hunt, he disappeared completely. I went everywhere calling his name and looking for him. He was nowhere. He was right beside me one minute and gone the next. I never heard anyone call his name to leave. He wouldn’t have left without saying goodbye, either. Did I imagine the whole thing or was it something else? For the record, I’ve never had a particularly overactive imagination, imaginary friends, etc.

I have a weird story that happened to me yesterday, and I genuinely cannot explain it.

Last week, i bought a small plastic water bottle and I am 100% sure i only bought that one bottle I had just moved to this city, so I couldn't have already had another bottle like it before buying this one.

For the whole week i went to class with that bottle, Ionly have two bottles in total, a big one and this small blue one. Every day, I kept the small one in my bag, took it out during class to drink from it and put it back in my bag, my bag is always in front of me in the amphitheater, so I don't normally leave it somewhere else or take the bottle out or give it to someone, yesterday i was getting my bag ready to go to class, i opened my bag and saw the bottle inside exactly where it normally is, i thought "okay I'll finish getting dressed then I'll take it out and fill it with water before leaving"

I closed my bag, put on my shoes, and was about to leave when I noticed my blue bottle on the table, i thought i must have taken my bottle out of my bag and left it on the table without remembering, so I picked it up,filled it with water, and went to put it back in my bag.

But when I opened my bag, I was shocked because my original bottle was still inside !!!

So suddenly i had 2 identical bottles with the exact same brand, same color, same size, and same shape. The second bottle even had a little bit of water in it approximately the same amount that was in my original bottle.

I asked the girl i live with about it because there are only 2 of us living here, she showed me her bottle and told me that hers is green and she said she had never bought a bottle like mine.

I am completely sure I didn't buy another one before this week, because I had only just arrived in the city before buying my bottle, thats why this is so strange to me.

I genuinely have no idea where the second bottle came from.

It almost feels like a little Matrix glitch

I live in a secluded part of a country estate. There aren't many people around me, there are very few footpaths, and the back of my house looks straight out over open fields. My bedroom is at the back too, so it's basically just woods and fields outside my window. So it was around half 7 in the evening today, I was in my bedroom watching a creepy instagram video when I heard what sounded exactly like a group of young children and i thought it might have come from the reel but it sounded too real so i paused it and still heard the children. I leaned out my bedroom window and asked my stepmum if she could hear it to which she said yes and it got louder and came from the direction of some private fields nearby. Naturally, i was concerned because this is an estate where a lot of gamekeepers are shooting and pedestrians are restricted to walk down certain bits, and the nearest public footpath from where i live is about a mile and half away, far downhill. But undoubtedly, I could hear their voices. I could hear them laughing. And I could hear them singing. They were singing the melody of “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star” / the alphabet song, except they were just going “la la la la la…” following the melody, and laughing.

And I mean I genuinely heard children. It wasn't just some random noise that reminded me of children. I could distinguish multiple voices, the singing, the melody and the laughter. The problem is that there are no children living near me. I'm in a very secluded rural area, and there aren't any schools, nurseries or campsites for around 5 miles away. There isn't an obvious reason why a group of really young children would be wandering around the fields at such a time.

The sound seemed to be coming across the fields, rather than from inside or immediately around my house. It was also happening on and off rather than continuously. I'm obviously aware of the normal explanations sound travelling unusually far, echoes, someone playing a recording, wildlife, etc. But I've lived here long enough to know what the area normally sounds like, and this was genuinely bizarre.

Has anyone else experienced anything like this, especially hearing children's voices or singing somewhere there shouldn't be anyone?
