I live where it is not legal to have balcony solar without an connection agreement which I am not interested in obtaining. Looking to take the edge off power bills probably 1kw max.

Are there any systems that actively prevent back feeding EG grid draw aware that I can use to avoid setting off alarm bells at the utility company. I have heard of horror stories of utilities coming and taking the meter so want to avoid tipping them off at all costs.

Ive been shopping for about a month for a birding setup and managed to pickup a Sigma 150-600 Contemporary (Nikon F) for $600 USD.

I haven't actually bought a body yet since I didn't want to limit my options since i was shopping for maximum value on the lens. My question is what kind of body can I get at various budgets? I don't want to be spending more than about $300 but if its absolutely required i can push the numbers a bit.

What should I be avoiding to ensure the lens is working as expected and get the most out of my budget setup?
