Actually, before we announce it, we just want to express another huge thanks to everyone who has backed, tried out our demos, and generally shown us support in the last few months. It has been both an exciting and trying time for Team Double Fine and we truly couldn't have made it through without you all. A particularly special shoutout to everyone who has sent an encouraging message on Discord, comment on Kickstarter, or on any of our socials.
Now, for what you all have been waiting for... the winning game!
It was a close race, and each game had its staunch supporters.

And another huge congrats to Team Architactics, Team Bard Crawl, and Team Uprise for creating full, playable demos in just two weeks of work, and making sure that there was no wrong choice for voters, just preference. 🧡 We hope you all had as much fun playing these demos as we had making them!
If your favorite game didn't win (maybe didn't even make the top four!), that's okay! Because you never know with an Amnesia Fortnight pitch-- sometimes, they end up becoming full games later, like Stacking. Sometimes, they get reconfigured and implemented in other games, like how The Gods Must Be Hungry turned into Psychonauts 2's Compton's Cookoff. And, with the creation of Double Fine Action Labs, maybe a publisher or a rich investor** will call us up and insist we work on your favorite fun-sized game!
**If you know any rich investors or publishers looking for cool game ideas to fund, we're assuming you've already told them about us. They're probably writing us an email right now saying they love indie games and want to bankroll a baker's dozen of these pitches. We look forward to their message!
The team will start to work on the final winner soon, and (if we can snag them) we'll keep you updated on their progress as the game develops!

We're officially fully funded on Kickstarter (quick plug)!
On August 31st, 2026 at roughly 12:03PM Pacific we launched this page as a team (hopefully you'll see this exhilarating footage in the documentary).
When we released this Kickstarter into the wild, we had no idea what to expect. We know that the gaming industry isn't an easy place to be right now, at any level of development, but especially indie. And we know that this, our indie reboot, could go any which way. It's exciting, it's terrifying, but it also feels like returning to our roots... something that we really couldn't do without you all.
But you showed up. You put on your suits of armor, picked up your swords, and rode into battle with us. You're basically Gandalf in Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, showing up in the east on the third day in a blinding show of white shimmering light, just in time to bring renewed energy to the fight and rallying the bruised and tired (but not broken) warriors just when all hope seemed bleak.
So thank you.

If you're unfamiliar, Amnesia Fortnight is essentially a Game Jam, live on the internet, in which our backers will get to choose which of our myriad of ideas get made into four new prototypes-- and which of those final four will become a real (small) game. You may even snag some sweet merchables and rarities along the way! As we jam, 2 Player Productions will be filming all the fun and making a brand new documentary (which you can also snag in the Kickstarter).
