I’m pretty genuinely upset about my rating. I have 5 rider ratings; four are 5 stars and one is 4 stars to equal a 4.8 overall. I’m so anxious about my rating lowering and me not being able to get an uber ride. It legit makes me take less rides. About what score do you think people stop picking you up? Is there anything you can do at that point?

I don’t know what I could have done. I am always standing outside waiting for the person, I greet them and say good bye, I match their conversational level, I don’t eat in the car, I am careful to not slam doors, I don’t add on stops, I wear my seatbelt, I don’t ask them to change the air or music or anything, I always tip at least 20%. I don’t know what else to do.

Does it make any difference if you tip during the ride/still in the car vs when you get out? I’m tipping based on total cost, which is maybe the problem? It’s confusing me because several of my rides have ended up costing more bc it took longer than expected, but I don’t find that out until a receipt is sent to me after the ride. Plus I use Paratransit and a promo for the past month so I try to make sure I pay attention to what it cost before those discounts.

Is a blanket cost based on distance better? I’m in an area where 15 miles can be 30 minutes or two hours depending on traffic and time of day though
