Is my oak dying?
This oak (I think) in my yard in Maryland has all this apparent damage to the bark near the bottom four feet on one side. I just noticed how bad it looks! One spot is oozing a black slime. There are also apparently wasps that have set up a home in one of the cavities. How bad is it?
