Hi everyone,

A bit embarrassing but wanted recommendations for good pest control companies? Since we’ve moved into our house we’ve noticed a few carpet beetles in the kitchen, maybe 2-3 per day. At first I thought it might just be because the house hadn’t been cleaner or lived in despite sellers leaving it in a clean state and me and hubby being very clean too. However they keep appearing on a daily basis and I’m worried the number might increase and I’m tired of seeing them now.

Does anyone have any recommendations for good pest control companies? I suspect the carpet beetles are coming from somewhere in the kitchen but would really like to get a professional involved.

Hi everyone,

Me and my husband are applying to renew his spouse visa soon and this time we are doing it ourselves (initially did it with a solicitor).

We have lived together the whole time but in different places:
- first stayed with my parents for 5 months whilst looking for an apartment
- stayed in the apartment for 7 months
- moved back in with my parents for 4-5 months as we were finalising house purchase and didn’t want to pay rent and mortgage payment at same time, and also wanted to furnish home before moving in
- have stayed in the house since then and will have lived there for 1 year 2 months by the time we apply for the extension

As we have stayed in various places I’m not sure on what evidence to provide - don’t want to provide too much or too little evidence. I’m thinking of getting a signed statement from my parents for the time we stayed at their home, and have evidence of bills and rental agreements from our apartment and house.

Would appreciate any guidance! Thank you in advance.
