Visiting Maine for the first time in July for 5 days with my wife and infant. Staying in downtown portland for 2 days and also looking to stay for 3 days between Portland and Kennebunkport. Would you all recommend staying 2 street off the Old Orchard Beach boardwalk or in the Wildes District area near Kennebunkport? I’m really unfamiliar with the area since I’ve never been but looking to stay somewhere that is safe and convenient.

Wife and I are looking to visit Maine in July for the first time with our 6 month old. We’ve narrowed it down to Bar Harbor or Portland. We enjoy hikes (less than 3 miles with infant), good restaurants, water, and things to see that will be stroller accessible. I’ve done some online research already but any advice on where to stay, things to do, and places to eat would be great as well!
