Just received my new mask from Tres @ Pharoah and... just wow.

The build quality feels amazing. The mask fits incredibly well without adjustment. The customizations (depth of shell, chin sling, couple other minor things) are all perfect... Just incredible work.

This mask is exceptional... Plus Tres included some personalized goodies, including a John Vanbiesbrouck figurine because I'm short - perfect little gift!

If I wasn't too excited to get back between the pipes, I am now. All that's left is to take a clapper to the face.

So I'm not new to the position, played for 35+ years and am well aware of the importance of a truly solid mask, especially because I have previous concussion history. I sold all of my equipment last summer and instantly regretted it, so I'm coming back, but looking to go pretty budget as where I will be playing is a little lower than I was in the past.

I most recently used a Bauer NME One - and I loved it. But... getting back into tending the goal, $1000 mask is off the table...

I used a custom maker years back, New Image Goalie masks, making Shark 95x models - basically a custom made Warwick design. It was alright, but never really fit right and was heavy as hell.

So... brings us to today... I've been thinking I wanted to go with Pharoah, but there's not a ton of them out there and I don't know much about their longevity or viablility with decent level men's league.

What other makes/models would you all really recommend and swear by at this point? Looking at the $600-$750 price point, and these models:

Pharaoh Anubis ~$600
Sportmask T3 ~$650
Otny Deco Pro ~$750

How would these compare to, say a Bauer 950 @ $650?

If you're using an emulator, you can save state just before answering the question; every single one of them has this loot pool for first-time correct answers:

Ammo+30 = ~40%
Medicine 3 = ~35%
Medicine 4 = ~10%
Revive = ~10%
Tool = ~5%

I had no idea you could get Tools, or had never really noticed.. and I had no idea there was such a loot pool and just never paid attention so, today... I ran some tests. I answered each quiz pedestal 20 times. These were the very rough results. I did not test answering it incorrectly on the first try, but your loot pool gets worse if you do answer incorrectly.

So far I've been able to get a Tool out of every single one of them, which is 7 extra tools - not bad.

What's he talking about? I've never understood after dozens of playthroughs... Wayne and Maeda never interact in the game outside of this one scene... What does he give to Maeda?

I know it's not the Maeda gun or Maeda bullets - you already have the gun at this point, and Maeda already has the bullets, which we know because he tries to give them to you before the Eve fight, before he ever interacts with Wayne.

What is it?
