Repairs!?

I just adopted this board. It's generally in good condition except for these ends that have been damaged. I'm pretty handy with epoxy and fiberglass kind of work but I'm asking if anyone has had a good experience with sealing things like this on a board without it looking like trash?

Waterfront parking

I know, here we go again. I am a boater and I enjoy using the city dock to launch and park my trailer, along with a lot of other people who enjoy the simplicity of it as opposed to the Tiffin ramp. I only get to use the city dock if there is parking spots available, which is 18 spots and to a non boater seems like a lot, but it's really not.

On any given warm weekend, there is a ton of people at the beach. whether you argue that the majority aren't Barrie residents etc etc. The fact is that there will always be a lot of people down there regardless. They do not care about paying fines for illegal parking because to them it's worth the parking fee to park so close to an awesome beach. Because of this, once the regular carparks fill up, people will park in all sorts of areas, like on the grass, pathways, wherever a car will fit! As a boater I have had to tell people numerous times to move their cars out of the "Cars with trailers only" parking spots. They will just ignorantly park in these spots with a look on their face like 'wow I can't believe we found such a great spot!'

It can get chaotic down there with people driving in circles and pedestrians everywhere. I guarantee that a lot of Barrie residents will avoid the main beach because of all of the parking and chaos going on. What I am getting at here is that there is so much "junk" land blocks away from the beach, (see my pic attached) can the city create a sort of summer only parking areas? The areas wouldn't have to be paved, just flat dirt land for all of the excess cars. I understand that a lot of the land is probably private, but I'm sure that the city could come up with lease deals etc if they really wanted to. You could even have a gate access with a parking fee.

I would encourage all members of the city involved with infrastructure/development to spend a few hours at the beach in the middle of the day this weekend and see how it gets. This is my thought but please pile on your thoughts and please be constructive.
