Mockingjay part 2 is NOT funny, but…

I’ve seen this the entire series too many times to count, but the part where the alien mutt in the sewers violently throws Katniss against the platform makes me laugh so hard every time. I’m watching it right now and snot flew out my nose because it just gets me and I’m SORRY OK!! It’s the physical comedy of it all. But you’re going to tell me she was not injured even slightly after this??? I’m pretty sure I would have died. (Yes I made a gif for this)

Historical coming of age?

I (26F) was just given ham on rye by my dad and finished it in less than a day. I love Bukowskis writing but had never gotten around to that one. While I really enjoyed it and it was engaging- I’m looking for more female characters than Hank vaguely describing a woman’s face and then half a page focusing on details of the woman’s legs, without any dialogue lol. I would love a nice coming of age story (romance a plus but not a dealbreaker) during a historical time. I love reading about the 30s-70s as those times are easy for my mind to imagine but I haven’t personally lived through. I am majorly looking for another story set in a 50s/60s timeline. I love historical books whether they be fiction (with references to the time being accurate) or nonfiction. Thanks in advance!

My moms foster doesn’t seem quite right

The shelter just gave my mom this foster this morning. She’s been pretty lethargic and floppy since. We got her a bath and she has a momma stuffie with a heartbeat and she’s on the heating pad but the vet also said she was 4 weeks and I do not think that’s true. I’m not sure which steps to take next. They also said she was on slurry but her face just drops in it. Attempting to bottle feed but it’s not working that well she doesn’t seem interested - in absolutely anything really. She does meow a lot and wakes up when stimulated

Update: She unfortunately didn’t make it. ): took her in and they said she was definitely given to us this morning in the same state and that there was nothing any of us could do but make her comfortable. We only had her for 9 hours and we bathed her and kept her warm and comfortable. She didn’t die covered in food and urine like she was when we got her. She was clean, comforted, pet and talked to. Just wondering though, is this normal for fostering? They give kittens they know won’t make it so that they can at least pass comfortably? If so I guess I understand but some of that information upfront would have been nice. Thank you everyone for your suggestions and advice. We followed all of them. It just is that way sometimes I guess.
