We're planning to pull the marine head and holding tank from our Ericson 38-200 and replace it with a composting head. Our goal is to go cruising in the Sea of Cortez in a few years, and maybe a ways further South in Mexico. So, what do we do with the new 20 gallon tank space? Boat currently holds 60 gallons of diesel and (we think)90 gallons of water. There will be 2 adults and 1 kid full time, with another crew or 2 joining from time to time. What do people find themselves wishing they had space for while cruising?

I'm wondering if anyone has found something I've been trying to find...

I like to read in my sleeping bag before going to sleep and I generally use a headlamp. I like to pull my headlamp down around my neck when it's time to sleep so when I wake up in the night (I camp with my 4 year old, so I always have to wake up for something) I have it close by and can put it back on easily. BUT... I'm also in the habit of sleeping with a sleep mask. And the on and off of a sleep mask and headlamp is a pain.

Does anyone know of a soft head lamp that could be pulled down over the eyes to work like an eye mask? The only one I can find is a kids one that looks like a fox or bear. And my kid has one, it's too small for me.

I know this is for sure a first world problem. But it seems like one has to exist out there somewhere and I just haven't been able to find it yet. Any ideas?
