I’ve been thinking a lot about the many unkown fathers in scarlet hollow. Tabitha, Reese, and MCs father, to be specific.

We know that Reese is a product of the vitality seal, impregnating Dr. Kelly. It has been theorized that MC was also created this way, Vivian possibly getting randomly pregnant, and seeking Sybil’s guidance, knowing the fate of her child if she stayed, and getting the hell out of town.

But what about Tabitha’s father? From the birthday cards we’re able to find out that he lives in, or at least has visited, eastern NC and hasn’t seen Tabitha in a very long time. So I’m curious - why was he allowed to leave Scarlet Hollow?

No one is allowed to leave without serious consequences, so what was the price he paid? Considering that he was able to send Tabitha cards well into her 20s, he obviously didn’t pay with his life. What was the cost and why did he leave in the first place? He obviously has a lot of love for Tabitha and wants to be a part of her life. Was he forced out?

I know we don’t have this information and we’re just going to have to wait to find out, but I’m curious if you have any ideas.

I've been messing around with different routes and have a run where in chapter 5, you keep choosing to leave town, avoiding the farm. You reach the town limits and are swarmed by ditchlings. They surround you and overtake you, injecting you, making you an incubator. The scene fades out and that's it; you never learn about the pumpkin or about Sybil and Kaneeka, you don't wake up in tetanus lake.

This ending is incredibly interesting to me and I'm so curious how the player is going to be able to navigate the final 2 chapters in this damaged/incubator state. Especially because we aren't there to intervene, I assume this means Carmilla comes.

What are your thoughts on how that run might go if this has happened to you?

Wayne's body keeps deteriorating and is happy to be able to get Isaacs. I'm curious though, for us waynemancers out there, do you think the interactions with wayne will be significantly different if we keep him goopy vs giving him Isaacs?

Personally, I think the ultimate 'lock in' for Wayne is gonna be at the end when we finally merge. I just hope it's worth the wait for those of us that want to keep him decaying / hope there isn't a significant reason to give him a 'healthier' body. I want to see my phantom of the opera freak through to the end.

Alexandra was the last host before Wayne. The only reason Wayne took over is because he went snooping where he shouldn't be. Through some unknown process, the entity now resides in him.

So what happened to Alexandra after that? Alexandra would be in her 70s around this time, so she could be alive for many more years. Maybe after hosting the entity for almost her entire life and then suddenly being released would take such a toll that she dies, but that's unclear.

Dustin says there are 2 humans in the house; one angry, one that cries. The one that cries is Tabitha. The angry one could've been Pearlanne, Dustin is an animal that lives in a drawer and may not know she recently died, sure. But the angry one could be Alexandra. Now that she's finally released and has spent her entire life trapped up there, I'd sure be angry.

In episode 2 if you hang around the house, Sybil will come by. This is when you hear noises upstairs. I don't think this is Wayne bc he seems to be able to move pretty sneakily all other times, usually sneaking up on us, even carrying us in our sleep without us waking. (I think he also straight us tells us it wasn't him?) Now it very possibly could be a rouse by Sibyl to convince us to leave the house and go with her. But what if it's Alexandra? It could also be the ghost of any number of other Scarlet's that died in that house, too.

This is just something I've been thinking about and I'm curious if there's any information I'm missing. Is she actually confirmed dead and I'm totally wrong about this theory?

Hi everyone! I recently played Scarlet Hollow for the first time and immediately thought "where has this been all my life?!?!" It's like it was made for me! I'm from North Carolina so it feels extra trippy to play and hear all the places I explored as a kid be name dropped.

I wanted to share my MC! I've already played several times now to explore different trait combos but the name and traits I chose for my first ever run feel canon to me now. This is Esther Scarlet, they/them, keen eye + book smart. A few years younger than Tabitha.

Generally shy and quiet, definitely a loner, but making new friends around town is helping to get them out of their shell. A little wary of getting in harms way again when hanging out with Stella, big fan of Kaneeka as a fellow goth, even bigger fan of Reese. (I love noise music and horror like Hellraiser so I'm sure you can guess I was immediately drawn to his character.)
