Internship Fraud - Part 2

No action has been taken against the said individual Kaushal Tiwari. His whole lab knows of his wrong doings and still they are not calling him out publicly.

This is a serious issue and I'm going to attach the exact proof along with this post! No more hiding names! (Except the victim of course). Y'all can clearly see the SEALED document issued from him, along with his signature.

The victim has also been receiving multiple calls, pressurizing to take down the post. This is being done by this guy and his close friends. I'll talk in detail about this in the next post, along with some more proofs!

(@iitwitharmaan) Armaan Gupta recently posted a reel on the topic, which was later taken down after a cry baby request from this guy. I have been following Armaan for a long time, and really wish that he will support this case so that no such incident happens with innocent students in the name of internship. These graduates rip us off and use our helplessness to trick us into these frauds.

I call upon all the academic influencers to at least make a post or story or reel on this.

Our education system is already critical, let us not break it from the bottom as well ❤️‍🩹

Internship Fraud

There's a pretty alarming situation that's been making the rounds in the department. I'm not naming the person involved for obvious reasons.

A 4th-year PhD student (Kaushal Tiwari)is alleged to have been recruiting multiple college students in the name of "IISc internships," despite apparently having no authority to do so. From what's been reported, they were conducting their own interviews and "selection process" without their PI's knowledge.

One student from PESU recently came forward. She says she was "selected" in January and worked till March, spending hours in a common facility and interacting regularly with this PhD student, all while the supervisor allegedly had no idea she was even interning in the lab.

Things blew up after she posted the usual "internship experience" post. Turns out she'd also been given an internship certificate and a letter of appreciation with signatures and even an official-looking seal. If these documents weren't actually authorized, that's a huge red flag and could amount to misrepresenting institutional authority.

And guess what?! This has happened to multiple individuals ( and all are Females, I wonder why? 🤔)

After her post, several people reached out to let her know she may have been misled about the legitimacy of the internship.

I'm attaching the certificate and letter because they're honestly shocking to look at. If what's being alleged is true, this isn't just someone overstepping—it's potentially misleading students, misusing IISc's name, and issuing documents that appear official without authorization.

Pretty*ucked up imo!
