This year is marked by a change in the organizer of Volta, with Podium and Joaquim Gomes being replaced with Ezequiel Mosquera's team (which already organised O Gran Camiño).

The race will have Eurosport broadcast, alongside the already traditional national TV (RTP) footage and "Há Volta" shows, and the first confirmed team is UAE (I guess all the portuguese riders have something to do with it).
