Has anyone successfully created a diy hitting mat to use different hitting strips from big moss, fiberbuilt holy grail to be able to interchange between them. Is it worth the hassle? Seems if can do it right it’s worth it. Thoughts

Debating between an r50 garmin with home tee versus square Omni with gaming pc and gspro for a garage set up for my 14 year old son who is trying to play more competitive but fallen in love with the game. He will use it daily and mostly for game improvement but also to play virtual courses. Debating between the simplicity and ease of use of the r50 versus the bigger potential of the square plus gaming computer. Also like the ability to move the garmin outside during warmer parts of the year. Thoughts or advice?
