I have been facing something like a 6/10 level anxiety. I also think the RIGHT VIEW is being cultivated : Features of the mind etc.
Any advice ? I have been smoking to combat it.
I have come to some understanding about the purpose of the ego. It defends and promotes views about the self and externalities.
It is also a burden we carry, surrender is much much more beneficial.
But what does the dhamma say about training on these lines ?
On Page 414 of the book, this is presented to the reader.

Can someone please help me understand the context in which the word contradiction is employed here ?
