Just want to say thanks to the guy I defib-ed yesterday. He tried to place a deadline on the Turbine, but wasn't luck enough to get away quickly and the Turbine hit him with the lightning thing. I was standing above the building connected to the A6 tower and saw him running towards the turbine and watched him do it and fall down. I immediately placed a zip line close to him and equipped my cloak and defib-ed him then. Was about to run away, and he called out said he always gives something back to people who rez him. He gave me a snap hook. Almost broken, but still useable. We still tried to put the turbine down, it actually hit him again and defib-ed him again, but he probably thought it wasn't going down so he went back. Me and some others kept shooting until it went down. But it was too far that I won't make it back so I left it for the other guys to loot. As I was running back, 6 minutes on the clock, the ARCs started to go crazy. A Bastion, a Rocketeer, a Firefly with 2 wasps was roaming around the Raider Hatch I was aiming for. I had no more zips and no more adrenaline shots, and I was tired. Then I remembered the Snap Hook the guy gave me. Two snaps, I'm on the platform. Got in safely tho my sheild was cracked and health was about 40%.
I don't plan on using this ever. Not going to repair it. Leaving it as it is. Kind of a memento, that some guy I saved twice, saved my life (and my loot) in the end.
Still got gear-fear but not as much as before. Rescue Raidin' on Matriarch/Harvester events, or even just normal days where someone was downed by an arc/not an arc. Anyway, yeah. Still proud that I'm making progress and enjoying the game while rescuing some people here and there (while juggling work and school.)
Been bringing barricades and zip-lines now (as per a fellow rescue raider's suggestion a while back) Also got a Photoelectric Cloak in case the downed raider couldn't crawl their way near me, with a silent prayer that we both make it back to Speranza. Lol.

Today, I've decided to return the generosity of the universe for sending helpful raiders that pointed me to the right direction when I started out as a struggling noob (don't be fooled, I still am tho.) Regardless of rats, and aggressive players, I'm putting the Rescue Raider hat on.
If you're preppin' to go to Blue Gate's Matriarch event in 20 minutes or less, I got your back.
Let me know if this loadout is okay for a first time rescuer, or should I not bring the Hullcracker? Or should I bring more defibs?

Just want to say thanks to that one raider who helped me out with the “Off the Radar” quest. Got to the Field Depot near Primary Facility, there was a leaper lurking with (I think) a wasp or if there’s anything bigger, that maybe what it is.
Anyway, raider passed by, greeted him, he greeted back. Then I saw him shoot a snitch and killed it with one shot. I called out to him asking if he could kill the leaper just so I could finish the quest and he obliged. Leaper=dead. Wasp=dead. Another snitch came=dead. I fixed the antenna. Told him not sure if i have anything that he needs, he said i can keep my loot, and just grab anything from the downed arcs that i need.
Also massive thanks to jackthestripper! We duo’d the other day and taught me where to grab cool stuff, and for dropping massive stuff that’s been really helpful with my progress so far!
This friendly community’s been really helpful and I’m now starting to enjoy the game more!

Hi. I’m new to Arc Raiders. Level 8 for like a month now. Having a hard time looting. I’m dumb af when it comes to games like these. Any tips? Or maybe want to party up? Just really want to enjoy the game with very little aggressive raiders around.

To everyone that gave tips and advices and suggestion, you guys are awesome. My matchmaking is slowly “healing.” I came across a party of 3, I just had my mic on and kept saying please don’t shoot, they didn’t. One accidentally shot me but healed me and apologized. We all went down the elevator; them shooting the wasps, me throwing lil smoke grenades to evade.
